Barry Isett & Associates has served Kutztown University directly through an open-end contract and as an engineering consultant to multiple architects through both open-end and project-specific engagements. Projects have included full engineering for new construction and renovations, feasibility studies for dormitory expansions, HVAC upgrades to the field house, campus stormwater improvements, developing an exterior lighting design guide and capital improvement plan, and replacement of roofs on six campus buildings.
DGS 408-63 involved the construction of a new pre-engineered 20,500 SF steel building to house University Facility Grounds, Garage and Storeroom operations. Isett provided all engineering design. The project involved the renovation 14,500 SF of the existing Maintenance Facilities building in order to centralize all Facility administrative functions including project services and environmental health and safety which had been in various locations throughout the campus. The former Grounds and Garage facilities and the old coal-fired Central Heat Plant were demolished.
